The BioChemi System is an image acquisition and analysis system for chemiluminescent detection which uses a sensitive digital CCD camera and fast optics to achieve detection in less time than film. The device features up to four magnitudes of linear dynamic range, allowing images captured with the system to have high resolution, image depth, and greater ability for quantitative analysis than scanned autorads.
Additionally, the system features Labworks image acquisition and analysis software, a high-specification PC, and a darkroom enclosure that is user-friendly. The darkroom enclosure allows any camera to be mounted and many benchtop transilluminators to be installed inside. Gels, membranes, blots, and plates up to 25-cm by 26-cm can be visualized with five different transillumination wavelengths and three epi-illumination wavelengths.
