Datasheet: FSR - Film Sheet Ribbon Take-off

Source: C.W. Brabender Instruments, Inc.

The FSR (Film, Sheet, Ribbon) Post-Extrusion Take-Off is designed to perform small-scale continuous collection of sheet/film/ribbon extrudate with CAN Bus Communication to operate either via the WINEXT Extrusion Program or manually.

Its standard configuration consists of three (3) stacked, 3" diameter X 10" wide, double shell, baffled rolls for accurate heating or cooling. All three rolls are driven for maximum extrudate tension. The new adjustable gap feature utilizes precision dial gauge indicators on each side of top roll – thus, providing extremely accurate product sizing during process.

Rotary unions are supplied for each driven roll and can be heated or cooled via an optional re-circulating bath. The standard temperature range for the rotary joints are from 10°C to 180°C, optional at additional cost are high temperature rotary joints with an operating range of 10°C to 250°C. Two (2) rubber clad pull rolls supply tension to the end product prior to winding and one (1) adjustable tension winder is supplied as a standard feature. Driven by a SERVO motor with digital display for line speed (meter/min.) max speed = 10 meters/min.
