The flexibility of a Remspec fiber-optic system is available with an included FTIR spectrometer, or as an add-on accessory if you already own a spectrometer. It can be used with an ATR or transmission head, or in reflectance mode.
The Remspec launch module, which is not shown, features a gold-plated aluminum mirror, and is rigidly bolted onto the spectrometer (interface plates are available for most FTIR models). The module takes any collimated output beam from a spectrometer or interferometer light source and couples it into our fiber-optic probe cable. The detector module comprises a modified and fiber-optimized, mercury cadmium telluride (MCT) detector, power supply and preamplifier. The return fiber cable connects to this unit to provide an electrical output for your spectrometer's external detector plug.
