Eclipse One Step Test for E. coli O157:H7 for Food

Eichrom's Eclipse™ One Step Test for E. coli O157:H7 detection utilizing ATROSphere™ technology is designed for enhanced specificity for the :H7 species while offering excellent sensitivity. This enhanced specificity reduces the occurrence of false positive test results, offers quick results and is easy to use and read.

Any highly sensitive test that has reduced specificity for the E. coli O157:H7 pathogen has increased incidences of false positives. False positives are critical and expensive. With the use of the ATROSphere bead technology, the eclipse™ E. coli O157:H7 test has the proper sensitivity to specificity ratio to assure fewer false positive results.

The accelerated or standard growth medias available are designed to produce at least 106 CFU/mL from one E. coli O157:H7 cell. A lateral flow test needs approximately this 106 CFU/mL sensitivity level. Eichrom's eclipse™ E. coli O157:H7 test meets this criterion for general applications including: ground beef and pork safety monitoring and vegetable (sprouts) safety monitoring.
