DTW Associates, Inc. is primarily a provider of PC-Based software for the "practicing" scientists and engineers who work in the Chemicals and Allied Products Industries. As an outgrowth of our research and development efforts which require extensive consultation with experts worldwide in the academia and industries, we also offer the following services on a request basis:
- Consulting in Polymer and Coatings Related Fields
- Contract programming of scientific software.
- Short courses
Our primary emphasis is in the development of software products for those who are responsible for the development, and/or improvement, of new/old products or processes, and whose work required multi-disciplinary approaches. Because of the multi-disciplinary nature of their work, we believe that software must not only be "user friendly" from operational point of view, but they must also be "user friendly" from application point of view. Many software products now commercially available require detailed understanding of the theories involved or the availability of parameters not commonly available. It is unreasonable, in our view, to expect these generalists to be cognizant of the details of these theories. thus, such software products are not "user friendly" from application point of view. Our focus is to computerize theories that can be used without the need for additional parameters. The Quantitative Structure-Property Relationship (QSPR) methods are very attractive in this respect. Our development efforts are guided by this belief.
