The 1296 Dielectric Interface analyzes low conductivity, low loss materials to give fast, accurate, and repeatable impedance measurements over 12 decades of frequency, yielding valuable insights into the characteristics of a wide range of materials, including polymers, rubber, wood, adhesives, electronic components, waxes, and oils. The interface enhances the capabilities of frequency response analyzers to cope with ultra-low current and capacitance levels experienced in testing dielectric materials, enabling impedance measurements exceeding 100 ohms, accurate tan delta measurements down to 0.0001, frequency range from 10 mHz up to 10 MHz, and AC signal and DC bias voltages up to 1000V (with external psu or amplifier) revealing essential data in areas previously inaccessible.

Highly accurate reference capacitors are built in to the device, or you can choose to use an external reference, offer flexibility to meet almost every measurement need. Support for temperature and DC controllers is integral to the measurement software, further increasing the scope for materials analysis. Additionally, the interface comes complete with its own Windows-based application software, which takes care of experimental technique and allows the user to concentrate on interpreting the results. Intuitive dialog boxes enable users to set up and control experiments quickly and simply. Results can be displayed, stored for subsequent analysis, or directly exported to another application, such as Excel.
