Expanded rotor capabilities are now offered for centrifuge 5417 C in tandem with refrigerated centrifuge 5417 R. Microcentrifuge tubes can be spun in the aerosol-tight fixed-angle rotor at a maximum rcf of 25,000 x g. The rotor can centrifuge eight PCR tube strips. An aerosol-tight, 30-position, fixed-angle rotor is available for 1.5/2-ml tubes. An eight-position swing-bucket rotor can be added to the system.
Refrigerated centrifuge 5417 R offers standby operation and a fast cool mode—in this mode, the system can cool samples from room temperature to 4°C in approximately 15 min. The system also features an extensive accessories program, large capacity, short acceleration and braking times, and a high g-force. Each device supports variable rotational speeds and comes with embossed foil keypads for simple operation. All parameters can be changed during experimental runs. Continuous operation is possible.
