An improved version of the in-compartment XY autosampler for commercial FTIR spectrometers is now available. It is designed around a standard 96 well microplate architecture and is available in three different configurations - as a mid-IR or NIR diffuse reflectance unit, or a transmission autosampler with an IR transparent microtiter tray. The transmission version has a built-in DTGS detector mounted at its base.
The autosampler features an xy stage with both axes driven by precision stepper motor/leadscrew combinations. The maximum range of travel of the system is 85 mm by 125 mm. The autosampler is designed to analyze small quantities of liquids, solid samples and powders - including tablets and polymer beads, among others.
The unit is controlled by AutoPRO software, which integrates easily with other FTIR and NIR software packages.
