Membrana recognizes the unique challenges faced by laboratories, research and other facilities when dealing with bubbles in analytical and measurement systems. Liquid solutions contain air bubbles that may cause solutions to foam or even impact readings of analytical equipment because the bubbles register as particles. MiniModule® and MicroModule® Membrane Contactors are designed to offer a compact, easy-to-install solution for situations where small-scale liquid debubbling is required.
Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors are commonly used to remove bubbles from megasonic and ultrasonic systems to improve cleaning efficiency. Because gas bubbles in the liquid can actually absorb or refract ultrasonic waves, removing the bubbles prevents the ultrasonic energy from being wasted on dissolved gasses.
Another benefit is the complete control that Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors provide over different types of gasses. They are capable of removing gas bubbles, such as CO2 and O2 while retaining gasses such as nitrogen or hydrogen, which are beneficial to keep in the bath.
MiniModules® and MicroModules® are ideal for small-scale debubbling. They are used in several industries including pharmaceutical, ink & coating, bioresearch and many others.
