Brochure: 1300 Series B2 Biological Safety Cabinet

The Thermo Scientific 1300 Series B2 biological safety cabinet is designed to meet the stringent safety requirements of NSF 49 for Class II biosafety cabinets. The Class II, Type B2 cabinet is recommended for use in the small subset of applications that allow no recirculation inside the cabinet work area.

The total exhaust 1300 Series B2 is the recommended biological safety cabinet for working with more than minute quantities of volatile toxic gases and tracer amounts of radionuclides as adjuncts to microbiological studies.

The 1300 Series A2 or Forma 1400 Series Class II, Type A2 biological safety cabinets are the preferred option for standard microbiology (BSL 1, 2 and 3) and tissue culture applications. Canopy Exhaust connections are available for use with all of our Class II, Type A2 biological safety cabinets and meet the strict requirements of NSF/ANSI 49 for safe handling and exhausting of minute quantities of toxic gases.
