IT Group To Provide Operations And Research Support Services For EPA

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded The IT Group Inc. (Monroeville, PA) an $18 million contract to provide operations and research support services at EPA's Test and Evaluation Facility in Cincinnati. The work to be performed includes support of EPA's R&D activities in the areas of water and contaminated media clean-up technologies, drinking water treatment and distribution, and sustainable technology development.

The contract, administered by EPA's National Risk Management Research Laboratory, is for one base year and four one-year options. It will replace the current four-year contract, also held by IT, which expires at the end of May.

The IT Group will be joined in the contract by three Ohio academic institution team subcontractors—University of Cincinnati (Cincinnati), Miami University (Oxford, OH), and Cincinnati State Technical College (Cincinnati)—who provide complementary technical abilities.
