Falcon Electric Introduces New FH Series UPS For Sophisticated Biomedical And Laboratory Applications

Irwindale, CA - Falcon Electric, Inc. an award-winning manufacturer of power protection and conversion solutions, today introduced the new FH Series Biomedical & Laboratory-Grade UPS specifically designed for the unique power demands
of biomedical and laboratory equipment.
Designed to protect valuable tests and scientific processes, the FH Series 3 to 10kVA uninterruptible power systems (UPS) assure the highest level of pure power required by analyzers, sequencers, diagnostic equipment and Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometer (GC/MS) instrumentation, as well as other sensitive testing and computerized processing equipment.
The new FH Series' Double conversion, On-line design provides new, clean, tightly regulated power that assures the highest level of protection for a wide spectrum of scientific equipment -- from forensics and hospital biomedical labs to semiconductor production, robotics and uranium fuel processing. By regenerating new, clean AC power, the FH Series eliminates costly testing inaccuracies, ensures sustained runtimes, increases throughput and lowers maintenance costs.
The units' On-line design also provides "no-break" battery backup unlike other UPS products that are not designed for the demands of sensitive lab instrumentation. For ease of replacement, the FH Series incorporates internal hot-swappable, user-replaceable battery packs. Optional extended battery banks and fast chargers are available, providing up to several hours of battery backup -- assuring the completion of critical processes that demand longer times to complete.
Featuring low input leakage current well under the 300µA requirement for use in non-patient-connected applications as well as input isolation, the FH is one of the most sophisticated power protection systems on the market today. Moreover, for laboratories or hospitals located in older buildings, the FH Series incorporates state-of-the-art Input Galvanic Isolation and Input Power Factor Correction circuitry that resolves electrical system problems and greatly reduces harmonics that can adversely affect sensitive electronic equipment.
