Kansas City, MO - Labconco Corporation presents the RapidVap N2/48 Evaporation System, designed to prepare small samples for applications such as drug development, bioresearch, combinatorial chemistry, environmental testing, forensics and toxicology. This system uses a stream of nitrogen, directed downward onto the surface of each small sample reducing the partial pressure directly over the liquid to speed removal of the solvent as it evaporates. There are eight clusters of six ports each. Nitrogen may be delivered to 2, 4, 6, or 8 clusters at once, conserving nitrogen when a full load is not required.

Microprocessor-controlled vortex motion increases surface area for faster evaporation while continually mixing the sample to maximize recovery. The RapidVap N2/48 System's unique dry heat block is low maintenance and doesn't contribute to contamination of water-sensitive samples, providing a more reliable alternative to water baths. Five accessory blocks are offered. Four blocks hold various sample tube sizes from 12 to 20 mm OD. One block holds eight large tubes for samples as large as 450 milliliters.
